Laddie Teapots and Accessories.

By using a synthesis of imagery taken from the history of female fashion and fetishism, my influences for this collections are as diverse as Victorian corsetry, high street fashion and haute couture. The delicate balance between form and function in these pieces is echoed in the sexy, confident attitude of fashion victims observed on the streets and in the clubs of Cardiff.

Each teapot and poodle jug are hand-built from paper clay using a variety of slab, pinch and coil techniques. The handbag teapots are thrown on the potters wheel. The pieces are then painted with underglazes and fired to cone 1. A transparent glaze is  added and sometimes transfers and metallic lustre's. Finally, Swarovski rhinestones, various beads and natural and or dyed feathers complete each piece.
