RUND Tower Collection
This collection of towers are inspired by round Architectural forms found in the landscape and from my image research of Bernd and Hilla Becher's black and white typological photographs. Images of water, gas and grain towers as well as the various structures found in Welsh Collieries have influenced this work. These towers have multiple functions and the individual cups, plates, bowls and spoons come in an assortment of sizes making this collection very unique. As with all of my work, each tower composition is one of a kind. Every lump of clay is weighed and measured before hand throwing on the potter’s wheel and then turned, ensuring that all of the elements of a completed tower fit neatly on top of or underneath each other.
